Geometric designs are evident in this contemporary collection. From the center to the outer edge, the negative element of space plays an important role, bringing to each piece light, air and whimsy.
I credit Rob Bartola, President of the Essex Art Association & the Riverside Press Art Gallery with encouraging me to take a more geometric & simplified direction with my Mosaic designs. I had dropped in to show him the very ecletic art jewelry collection going into the upcoming Alva Gallery retail show and this meeting lead to a collection that has proven to be largely collected.
Funny how the creative & curator process cycles in, out, & about. The original pieces I showed Rob were quite large, each pendant measuring 1 1/2 inches in diameter, with vintage pieces woven in the seaglass & wire designs. Now, Rob is showing both the Contemporary & Vintage Collections.
